Release, Relax, Unwind

Belinda incorporates in each massage session any or all of the modalities described below depending on the client's needs

This amazing technique uses a machine that produces a vacuum and uses cups to lift the tissues and muscles and improve blood and lymph flow to injured areas. Suction can reach deep into the soft tissue or work superficially to pull inflammation and toxins to the surface so that they can be eliminated by the body.

Specialized techniques for orthopedic massage aimed at relieving cervical strains, whiplash, post-surgical pain, and headaches. This massage will help you manage headache pain and improve your quality of life.

This common form of massage focuses on the body's muscles and connective tissues to improve circulation, promote relaxation, and enhance well-being.

More vigorous technique focusing on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to loosen tension, reduce chronic aches and pains, release toxins, and promote flow of blood and oxygen.

A combination of techniques focusing on muscles relevant to a particular sport, used to prevent or treat injuries; improve flexibility, range of motion, performance; reduce muscle tension; increase power; enhance mental clarity.

A pressure or trigger point is an area of inflammation or tightness in a taut band of muscle fibers and fascia. The therapist touches the pressure point with thumb, fingertip, or elbow and then gradually applies pressure and maintains for a period of time to release the tissue and relieve the pain.

MediCupping is a vacuum therapy that targets problem areas.

Current vacuum therapies are a modern use of an ancient tool and possess the benefits of traditional use, along with many incredible new applications. This therapy utilizes glass or plastic cups and a vacuum machine to create suction on the body surface.  These cups are moved over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques while gently pulling up on the cup, and are parked for a short time to facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release.  This suction can reach deep into the soft tissue or can work superficially to pull inflammation and toxins toward the surface so that the skin and lymphatic system can readily eliminate them. Scar tissues often release quickly, despite the age of the injury or keloid tendencies.

One of the most amazing aspects of this technique is the "separation" that the vacuum produces in tissue layers. This enables water absorption and renewed blood flow to undernourished and dehydrated tissue, which is invaluable in pre- and post-surgery treatments. It is becoming evident that separation of fused, congested soft tissue and increase in tissue function can be a catalyst for change in many current health conditions.

VacuTherapies™ can comfortably:

~ Decrease or relieve pain and inflammation from injury or chronic conditions.

~ Relieve deep muscular issues and reduces muscle spasms.

~ Release and soften scar tissue and loosen post-surgery adhesions.

~ Lift and stretch soft tissue to separate fascia and restrictions.

~ Move stagnation and enable normal lymphatic flow.

~ Enhance any athletic training program to improve performance.
